Guest Poster: Bryleigh | Fever Review

Bryleigh from A Little Yarn Blossom kindly offered to guest post today because I'm so busy. And I'm really excited to be sharing her post, she has some great thoughts!

There are two words that come to mind when I think of this book:
Smoky.
Intense.

This book is so well written. There were so many twists, and then it left me on edge when it ended. I can't wait to get the next book from my library! It's sinister, but innocent. I just can't get over what all has happened! I love authors that keep me on the edge of my seat. Y'all need to read these books. I can't wait to see what Lauren DeStefano does next!

Would This Book Make A Good Movie?
No. Since it's a trilogy, they'd just cram everything into one movie, or stretch it out into 4 movies and add in parts that were not there before. It's also very detailed, and people would most certainly skip over important parts.

Book Cover Rating:
5/5 stars. The cover perfectly represents what happens in the book. You don't notice at first, but it makes perfect sense as you get farther into the story.

Character Development:
Perfect. I learned more and more about Rhine and Gabriel. I can see them clearly in my mind, and the emotions are perfectly written.

Bad Stuff?
Not really in terms of the book. In the terms of the story, ohhh yeahhh. But I won't spoil any more details. Go read the books!

The first book is called Wither. The book after Fever is Sever.
Go check out the website, it's got all the info!! The Chemical Garden Trilogy

Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!
Ciao!

  2. Is it only me or does that girl on the cover remind anyone else of Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter movies)?
    Nice review :)

    1. I couldn't say as seeing as I've never watched or read Harry Potter. She might though.
