The Side Effects of Living in a Family of Men

via
Living with mainly men in my family may have had some side effects on me. Some of those side effects include not being at all interested in make up, loving to play football and supercars.

Yesterday, Bathurst was on and so that meant that Dad, the boys and I were glued to the sofa, watching. And let me just say, it did not disappoint what with TEN safety cars, plenty of crashes and having to STOP the race to fix up the road! I couldn't believe all the excitement.

I have been watching Bathurst for years and never had a seen a Bathurst like this one. I couldn't believe everything that had happened.

Ok, this was a really, really random post, but I had to write it. I may be a bit weird in like racing so much, but that doesn't matter.

  1. Another girl who likes watching the Supercars! It was a pretty epic race, wasn't it? I've been watching Bathurst for as long as I can remember, and I've never seen one like it. Fancy stopping the race to resurface the road (which had just been resurface for the race anyway.) Or someone actually hitting a kangaroo. Only in Australia...

  2. I've never heard of Bathrust (or watch that much racing), but I know how ti feels like to grow up being surrounded with guys. For two years at taekwondo, I was one of the only girls that was in the advanced classes, so I had to start getting acquainted with the boys around me. It wasn't that bad!

    2. True; in fifth grade, I played kickball with all of the guys during school than swing on the swings, which was what most of the girls there did.

(P.S. On a completely unrelated note (and I'm not sure whether you like this series or not) but did you hear that The Mortal Instruments is being turned into a TV series? :/)

  3. I'm an only child, so growing up I've always had a bit of boyish interests and girlish interests, but I think I fall more toward the tom-boyish side of things. Awesome post!

    1. It doesn't matter whether your girlly or tomboyish. Those girlly girls are missing out on so much fun!

    1. Thanks Jordy. I've been watching them for years, nothing like a bit of racing to make your day!

  5. I've never been a huge fan of racing cars, but I will watch them occasionally if nothing else is on. It's weird because my brother has been home for three years, and my dad has been the only male in our house for most of my life, yet I love football! It is my favorite sport to watch on TV, especially the Superbowl!

    1. Racing's not for everyone. It something you watch when you're doing something else at the same time.
